A Prayer For Our Soldiers

May God walk beside you each day. May He protect you if harm comes your way. May He give you wisdom in all that you do and keep you safe with each task you pursue. May He bring swift end to the world's troubled brow and His most precious peace on us then endow. May you know you stay in our thoughts and our hearts when your path and your duty keep us apart. May the days pass quicky until you're part of our home once again, surrounded by our love.

Brinkley

Brinkley is our three month old little cocker spaniel. She is a blessing to have. She is hyper, loving, mean, always moving, and loves her dad more than anything. And she loves, more than anything, driving her mommy crazy. She is always up under my feet. But i love her. She helps me fold clothes (kinda), do dishes (kinda), and she helps me clean (kinda). But she is wonderful nonetheless. But lately we have been concerned about her eye. It has been getting worse for about a month now. It looks terrible. And the people on base always want to know what is wrong with the eye, like we did something to her. It does not seem to bother her at all. But we wanted to make sure everything is going well with it. And that nothing will happen in the long run. Soooo, we ended up looking for an eye doctor, because our vet on base was concerned also. They eye doctor we took her too did alot of things to her eyes. They looked at the front, the back, and the lids. He found out that it was a birth defect with her third eye lid, and that nothing major is wrong with her. Unless she starts rubbing it, or it looks like it is bothering her. So all i s well and no more worring with her for now. Oh and she now weighs 11 lbs. My baby girl is getting so big. We can barely hold her up. And she always wants to be held like an actual baby. WOW. We dont see how we can keep treating her like a baby like we do. I guess it is time to start breaking ehr of all of her habits. Hopefully it will not kill her, or us too badly. She also bites us everywhere, snd scratches us. So we need to break her of this habit to. This one is going to be the hardest. Potty training did not kill her this much. She hates getting into trouble. I need to google how to stop biting for a cocker spaniel soon. Im tired of looking like a giant scar lol. Hopefully this will stop before i go back home in July. I guess we will see. But thats all for now. Ill post more on different matters soon!!

Marriage

Ok so I figured that I would finally give blogging thing a try. So her goes nothing. I got married to the most wonderful Marine in the world on March 12, 2011. We had to take several marriage classes. They were funny. We learned a lot from the classes. And i am reading "Becoming One" it was suggested in one of our classes. I would tell everyone to read it. this is a wonderful book. But anyways, we started dating while he was deployed to afghan last year. Talked almost everyday, and i got like 4 phone calls. That time went by very slow. I am so glad he is back to the states with his wife, and dog. I could not be happier. Life is definately not the same as it was. I would never have imagines how it has changed. I love being a wife, and a mom (kinda) to our 12 week old cocker spaniel named Brinkley. She is teaching us some things, good and bad. She is actually a hot mess. She can have her good and bad moments. Sometimes she is worse than an actual toddler. But we love her just the same. We love her so much, and we could not have asked for a better dog. She is a wonderful addition to the family. Moving to North Carolina was great. Brinkley did a great job with the 10 hour drive from Alabama. She slept the whole way up here. We both love it up here. Even if we dont get to see our man as much as we would like. He just got back from Yuma, AZ. He left a week after we got married, and just got back in time to celebrate our 2 months of being married. He will be gone again shortly for w while. But this is what i have to do. Give up seeing him so he can protect me, our family, and the rest of america. I am so proud of my marine. And i know that God is watching over him (and the rest of the troops) everywhere he may go. We try to live everyday to its fullest, because we never know when he will leave. Or how long he will be at work, or what know. Brinkley is a trooper. She gets so excited when she gets to see him. She sees him for all of 5 hours a day and then the weekends. She is just like a child in a candy store when she sees his car pull up in the driveway after work. She waggs her tail so much, and whines too. It is so funny and cute at the same time. We are always excited when he gets home. But anyways, Life is all going well for this Marine Wife. I could not have asked for a better life. God had blessed me so much. I am so thankful for that. But cant think of anything else. Ill be back on here to blog some more. it was more fun that I thought it would be, and Brinkley behaved. WOW what a shocker. lol.
